Hi All,
I had visa interview to renew my L1-B blanket. I was asked to pay 500$( Fee against Visa Fraud detection and prevention fee) though I have already paid that once when I had applied Visa first time. I am renewing my visa against the same employer. As I did not have much time, so I already paid the money. Now, my employer's lawyer and visa immi officer says I should have not paid that fee, because I am not required to pay that fee. I am not getting clear cut information on this in consulate's web site, however, I found one memorandum where it is mentioned. Can someone confirm this, if they faced similar situation in the past? Also, how can I get that money refunded back in case if the fee is not applicable in my case?
