L1B Visa - filing a new company and outsourcing

I am on L1B Visa in USA. One of my friend is in India and has a company there (In India).

I am looking forward to register a LLC here in USA (which has nothing to do with my current work).
I won't be involved in any day to day operations as I will be outsourcing everything to my friend's company.

Is this legal ?
