I am on L2. Can my employer sponser GC? Employer will sponser on EB2 category.

My HUsband is on L1 A but his company will not sponser.

Yes, your current status has nothing to do with PR sponsorship. PR can even be sponsored for people who are not even in the US.

Of course, in order to continuously work in the US until your date becomes current, you will need to maintain some valid non-immigrant status that allows work. If your spouse leaves the US, your L2 status will end and you will have to leave too.
