Hi,
I will be applying for my L1 A visa and am looking to move to the US in September.
My wife and son (6 years) will be applying for L2.
My wife has an option to get a job with her current employer in the US but the hiring manager needs her to start as soon as possible.
She works for the Indian entity of this MNC.
Can she travel to the US once she gets her L2 apply for the EAD and come back to India?
She will then continue assaying the role from India as an employee of the Indian entity till she gets her EAD.
In the interim if she needs to be present for meetings she can fly in for a short duration say 2 weeks and get back.
Is this permissible and would it impact the application.
She has a valid B1/B2 visa.
Would biometrics be required for the EAD?
In a parallel note, I plan to initiate green card processing.
Would it be better if my wife comes over with her EAD in place and I apply for the greencard as she will permanently move in November.
