Expired visa link with Parents visit - i797 valid indefinitely

Hi All,

I'm in a process of sponsoring B2 ( Visitor) VISA for my parents. My VISA had expired an year ago however my i94 is still valid for another 18 months.

I would like to know if their interview and visit is dependent on my VISA status. Can they visit US while my L1B is in expired state ?

P.S. - > My i797 petition shows its valid indefinately.
