Mother's Surname missing in child passport

Hi All,

In one of my child passport, Mother's last name (Surname) is missing.Only First name is mentioned.

Will this cause any issue in getting Dependent Visa for my child or any port entry issue.

Child name in passport if complete with first and last name, Mother's passport is also correct with First and Last name..

If only Mother accompany child while entry to US will the port officer deny my child to enter because of this.
