L1b and l2 approved at Chennai consulate office

both l1b and l2 were approved. L1b visa is ready for pickup but l2 says "administrative processing for the last 6 days. We aren't given any slip after the interview too. Can someone please explain why for L2 visa it says administrative processing and how long does it take for me to get my passport back.
