  • Middle Name in Passport but not in Birth Certificate

    Hi,
We want to add a middle name in our son's passport. It is not therein his birth certificate. Will it cause a problem in filling L2 visa or any other visa in the future.
He is a toddler and we are about to apply for his first passport. Just wanted to make sure that there is no issues in the future.

Ideally, individual's names/surnames must match across all certificates/documents including Birth Certificate and Passport to avoid any issue in future.
However, as long as L2 visa is concern, I don't think Birth Certificate is needed but passport.

So need to make sure that Passport has valid name/surname/Middle name etc. correct & matching with parents name/surname in Passport.

Also, since you are applying for L1/L2, make sure you have family passport/s and apply if not already. this would avoid unnecessary delay in process in future.
