Passport Expiry for L1B Visa

Hi. Can you advise if there is required validity of passport if you will work in the US using L1B visa?
I have already the L1B visa (5yrs) and my passport is expiring on June 2016.
In my papers, I will be working in the US for 3 yrs. Could you please advise if I need to renew my passport?

You can come down to US [ if not already ] and apply for new passport @BLS now.
you can apply for new passport before one year of passport expiry date.
