My L1A Blanket interview was scheduled on 10th May in Chennai. I started my journey towards the OFC @ 9:00am and post that to the consulate @11:00am.
After being to couple of counter to submit my DDs/biometeric, I finally reached THE counter and could feel the pulse of many out there.
Getting back to my interview which went as below:
VO: Hello
ME:Hello, How are you?
VO: Which Client are you going to working for?
ME:I am working for YYYY company and my Client is YYYY based out of YYYY .
VO: What is your Roles and Responsibilities?
ME: Explained my Roles and Responsibilities and was interrupted after my initial three liners.
VO: I have heard of XX jargon but what is YYYY you mentioned?
ME: Explained the definition in one line.
VO: Whats you salary per annum in U.S?
ME: YYYY Dollars per annum.
VO: I have noticed you've previously traveled to U.S. - what was the purpose of the visit?
ME: Yes - I had traveled on Business Visa for YYYY client for business/stakeholder discussions.
VO: What is your highest degree?
ME: Explained ZZZ.
VO: How many direct reportees reporting to you ?
ME: Explained X reportees.
VO: Tell me Designation and not the name of your reporting manager?
ME: Explained the designation of my reporting manager.
While I explained the officer starting typing into the system and put the Stamp in the right place and said - your Visa is approved and returned two forms saying one is for your HR and another for yourself which you need to submit/showcase once you land in US.
It's all about your confidence and tons of prayers.
