Adopted a US Citizen whilst on a L1A Blanket Visa

I am on an L1A Blanket visa which expires in 2018. We recently adopted a 2 year old US Citizen. Does anyone know if this helps either with, changing status to permanent some way or eligibility for other visa types once the L1 ends?

Currently it is unclear if my company will support a green card application

No it does not help . Once L1 ends you should return.
