Can we file for H1 B extension while fresh L1 A processing is going on

Dear all,

I am currently in USA since 3 years on H1 B and my H1 B is valid till Nov 2015.

Now my company wanted to apply L1 A for me so that i can take up management roles.

I went to india for 3 months and applied for a fresh L1 A individual when i was in INDIA.

Now i came back to USA on my H1 visa since it is valid till Nov 2015.

My L1 is filed with USCIS and is going on. I dont know how much time it'll take though it is applied in premium processing mode because for premium cases there is a bigger chance of getting RFE.

Now here is the tricky part.

Since my H1 is getting expired in Nov end, i need to apply for H1 extension as it is already too late.

So,...,

1. Can i file for H1 B Extension while my L1 is already filed with USCIS.

2. Can i stay in USA after november after nov 2015 without filing for H1 B extension as my L1 is going on.

Please let me know any correct information you have as this is a really critical time for me and i need to take the right decision.
