Work from same office of home country in L2

I am currently working for an IT company in India and applying for L1 visa. My wife is working in another IT company. Can she travel and work in US from the same company on L2 visa?

I am currently working for an IT company in India and applying for L1 visa. My wife is working in another IT company. Can she travel and work in US from the same company on L2 visa?

Legally speaking she would need an EAD before she can do that in US irrespective of the fact that she would work for a company in India and that she would get paid outside US. Also, for taxation purpose L2 income needs to be taxed in US if one is considered a "resident alien", irrespective of the fact that the income is deposited outside US.
