How to efile for L2-EAD renewal when L2 Status extension is pending.
Hello All,
Me and my family are from India and are living in US since Sep 2014. I recently got a new L1B VISA for the same company. My old L1B VISA was expiring in Oct 2017 hence company recommended applying for new VISA as in country extension has become unpredictable for L1B VISA holders. My company has already filed for my families extension of status and I already got a receipt acknowledgement from USCIS about the same. My wife had got EAD as she is L2 dependent.
I have few very basic questions.
1. Can I efile for EAD renewal even before getting the L2 extension approved. My wife's i94 has already expired on Oct 17th 2015.
2. How to efile the i765 as the link is down https://efiling.uscis.dhs.gov/efile/
3. Should I apply for a new EAD or apply for EAD renewal as my VISA is new (same company and client on i129s).
4. What all documents are required when I submit the application as my wife does not have a valid i94 but we have the receipt for extension of status.
5. How long it takes for the decision and is it possible to get the EAD decision before the Extension renewal happens (I doubt it but just asking).
6. Is there a possibility of EAD extension fee waiver? Will I also have to pay for Bio metric fee as well?
