Hi,

My wife's passport is going to expire on Oct 2016. She is travelling to US by April 2016 and She has a valid L2 visa till Oct 2017. Currently she is in India. Can I apply for a new passport for her now in India. If she gets a new passport, whether the visa in old passport will still be valid? Can anyone please clarify. Post your response I need to apply for new passport.

Yes visa will still be valid. She would need to carry both old and new passport with her as and when she travels.
