I have recently received approval from USCIS on the individual L1 B petition filed by my employer abroad. Along with the documents from the USCIS the the attorney asked me to pay the Visa fees (190 $) prior to appointment with the consulate and Fraud Detection and Prevention fee (500 $) in the consulate office during the scheduled interview.
I understand from other websites on the subject that The Fraud Detection and Prevention fee (500 $) is applicable only for L1 B Blanket applications and not for Interviews based on approved individual petitions.
Can somebody please confirm if my understanding is correct...
Also are visa interviews based on Individual L1 B petitions generally approved by the consulate or are their rejections as well. In the experience column I could not see any individual petitions rejected by the consulate...
