L1 B Extension or Renewal or L1 A
Hi - I am currently on L1B Visa and completing 3 years in Feb 2016. My employer asked me to come down to India for L1B renewal, hence I filled DS 160 and faced the interview. Unfortunately my request was rejected and the interviewer mentioned to apply for L1A, since I am a manager after my promotion, I came into US as an Associate. I need help on next steps, so I have a chance to stay and complete my assignment. If I move back to India at this point my project will suffer long term with huge dollar loss to the client.
1. Can I apply for L1B Extension from USA now? I am assuming my employer applied for L1B renewal in November 2015(in India), which was rejected.
2. Is there a difference between L1B Extension vs. L1B Renewal?
3. Can I apply for L1B Individual?
4. Can I get my L1A visa before February? Should this be done in premium? Will there be an issue with change of visa Status?
5. Is there any other legal way to stay?
