  • L1 blanket or individual without degree certificates

    Hi,

My company is planning send me to the US office. They have a blanket permit and so I can directly go for the visa stamping. What is the educational requirement? I don't have a degree. Will it create problem.

If I ask my company to file individual L1 petition. What documents (i.e My personal docs: Passport, degree certs, etc.) my employer will need to send to the USCIS along with the L1 petition.

Do I have to submit the photocopies of my education docs at the consulate or they just need the originals? Do they do background check.

    Someone please answer!

The L-1B nonimmigrant classification enables a U.S. employer to transfer a professional employee with specialized knowledge relating to the organization’s interests from one of its affiliated for

In order to qualify under the blanket petitioning process, the employee having specialized knowledge must also be a professional. See 8 CFR 214.2(l)(1)(ii)(E).

      (E) "Specialized knowledge professional" means an individual who has specialized knowledge as defined in paragraph (l)(1)(ii)(D) of this section and is a member of the professions as defined in section 101(a)(32) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
