Visa options for L1 holder, when changing employer

Hello all, I hope you had a great start to the new year!

I have an L1 visa and am looking to change jobs, which means I would need a new visa.
Given that the H1 visa requires the potential employer to apply in April for a start in October, I am trying to understand if there are alternative visa options that would make me more attractive to potential employers.

In other words:
- are there other visas that a potential employer could apply for that would make the process simpler and would not require me to wait 6 months before starting to work?
- are there any visas I could apply to on my own / independently?

L1 and H1 are the two ones for temporary employment. If you have extraordinary abilities there may be other options.
