  • Am I eligible for L1 visa? Unusual case.

I was employed for a period of 5 years (Feb 2010 - Jun 2015) with a company in Bangalore, India after which I moved on to a different company in Bangalore itself. I resigned from the new company in Oct 2015 and now, I have an opportunity to rejoin my previous company, but in the US. Can I rejoin my previous company on an L1? H1B is not an option for now.

    Based on immihelp's L1 page (https://www.immihelp.com/l1-visa-requirements/):
"The alien must have been employed abroad by the qualifying foreign employer for one continuous year within the three years immediately preceding his/her admission into the U.S."

As per the above statement, it seems that I am eligible for the L1 however I would like to confirm if I'm interpreting this correctly. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

That's correct. You are eligible to apply for L1 visa.
