L1 Visa renewal

My L1B visa got expired and I am back to India to stay for 1 year to apply for fresh L1A or L1B visa. I got following questions.
1. I am still on US pay roll as I am supporting US business from India. Will that create any problem on visa process.
2. My current GC priority date is Aug 2011.. Will I get a new PD when fresh visa is granted.

1. Dont see an issue from immigration perspective. But you would have to pay Indian Income Taxes as per local Indian laws. Check with a tax expert.
2. GC process would not get affected. Is your I140 approved?
