Filing L1

I have a 2016 approved H1 petition by employer A. I need to go to stamping sometime may be.

I am with employer B in India. There is a position for me to go on L1 for 1-2 year to my client place in US. So I would like to know:

1. When I am having H1 approved petition by company A can I file L1 trough company B?
2. If L1 is filed what will happen to my H1 petition? Does it get cancelled?
3. Once I am back to India after 1-2 year, can I go for H1 stamping?

1. When I am having H1 approved petition by company A can I file L1 trough company B?
Ans: Yes, you can have n number of approved petitions, but at one point of time you can work for one employer only.

2. If L1 is filed what will happen to my H1 petition? Does it get cancelled?
Ans: No, it will still be valid & can be used to convert your L1 to H1 while you are there in USA. Both are non-immigrant & dual intent visas.

3. Once I am back to India after 1-2 year, can I go for H1 stamping?
Ans: Yes, you can provided the H1 petition is still valid by that time.
