L1B to L1A conversion when only 7 months left in 5 years L1B max out period

Hi,

My L1B (Blanket) visa got expired on Mar 2015 and i am on I-94, which expires on April 2017. But my 5 years max out period will be on Aug 2016.

My Questions:

1. Since i have only 6 months left for my 5 years max out period, can i apply for L1A conversion now. Is there any timeline like i should apply 1 years before my 5 years max out period.

2. Is it possible for me to apply GC with my current status.

Please reply me ASAP.

The earliest the better. Ideally as soon as you start performing the roles of the manager/Executive the I129 should be updated.
