L1-B to L1-A: status of current L2-EAD?

Hi,

I am currently on L2 EAD (valid till Jan 2018) but my wife's L1-B is expiring in APR '16. Her employer has initiated L1-A (prem. proc.) and submitted it to USCIS.

We are visiting India in Apr 2nd week. I understand that she has to appear for her Visa interview in India.

And subsequently I will have to get my new L2 stamping, is it?

Assuming things go smooth, what will happen to my EAD?

Do I need to file renewal, or file new one, or can I continue using the existing one?

What will happen to my work status?

Please help me by answering above questions and thank you in advance.
