Visa status after Resignation on L1A & transfer to B1 to continue in US

HI,
I'm currently on L1A & may have to resign by June15.

My validity on I-94 shows November 28, 2017 & I have applied for H1 Visa.

I would like to know my options to continue here till October 2016 when my H1 Visa kicks in (if I get it )

1. I have a Valid B1 till 2018, Can I convert my L1A t B1 after my resignation
2. Do I need to have a change of Visa Status done if my I-94 shows validity till November 2017
3. IfI convert my Visa to B1 till when will I be able to continue to stay in US

1. Yes you can, but chances are low unless you have a genuine reason. Using B1/B2 as a stop gap to continue stay is not a valid reason. Also, it can take upto 6 Months for a L1 to B1 COS to be approved.
2. Yes.
3. As long as B1 I-94 is valid.
