L1b visa for 5 yrs but petition approved for 3 yrs

My L1b visa is for 5 yrs but petition approved for 3 yrs does this mean that while extension is applied i can get it without exiting US? and Also will my extension be easier as visa is already approved? I am not getting any related info on this

That's correct. And also you just need extension approval, you won't need to go for stamping for next 5 years.

Can't say about extension approval. But you may assume it since your visa is approved for 5 years - it shows they have good faith in you or your profile was strong enough.
