L2 visa for spouse and kid

Hi,
I have my i129 L1 petition approved. In that form we incorrectly stated that we are not applying for dependents. I have not attended embassy interview yet.
1. Can my wife and child apply for L2 visa based on my L1 approval?
2. Should i file I-539 or just fill DS-160 with embassy?
We have never been in US and my wife and child do not have any status in US right now.

I would suggest you to wait.

Yes, but after your visa approval & stamping.

Lets get your visa done first, L2 is dependent visa & the first requirement is to have primary applicant to be on valid status.

I have my L1B petition approved and appointment has been confirmed for my dependents too.

My Spouse is currently working and I had mentioned in DS-160 that they will be accompanying with me, any supporting documents to be provided for my dependant since she is currently working.

Your original I797 and/or I129 along with photocopy of your visa & I94.
