Individual L1 B rejection

Hi

My company recently split into two and the new entity I belong to still did not have a blanket petition so I was asked by the immigration lawyers to apply using Individual L1B.
But my Individual L1 B individual petition got rejected.

What are my options now?
1) Do I apply under blanket once my company gets a blanket status again or stick to individual petition only?
2) Is there a cooling off period till I can apply again?
3) What happens if I join another company . Does the record of the previous rejection still exist and can it impact my new one?

1. You can do both but if you go back with the Individual petition you need to work on providing more strong documentation and evidences for your eligibility of L1B. What was the reason for rejection?
2. No cooling off as such, but as I said it depends upon how much time you need to correct the issues in the first interview.
3. For next company in order to be eligible for L1 you you have to minimum work for 1 Year for them. And yes, they would have the record of previous rejection, and you also have to declare on all subsequent visa forms about this rejection.

Individual petition have better chances of approval as compare to blanket. And the approval chances are truly dependent on how well you prepare your documents.
