  • L2 to L1A

I used to work for a reputed multinational company in India for about 10 years (most recently as Manager). I resigned the job when we moved to the US with my husband's L1B visa and I am currently on L2 (with EAD). After moving here, I joined a small company and worked for 6 months. Then my previous company HQ in the US offered me a job and I have been working with them for past 1 year.
My question is, Am I eligible for my company to apply for an L1A visa for me. I am in Analytics with an MBA. What are my other options for applying for an independent visa as soon as possible?

Were you working for them for at least 1 Year, while outside US, in the past 3 years? If yes, you may be eligible for L1A. I did not understand "independent visa". If you are referring to non dependent on L2 then L1 for yourself or H1 are the two options. H1 Window is already closed, so L1 seems to be the only possibility.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Yes, you are certainly eligible for your own Independent L1A visa. Go ahead.
