L1B to EB1A

Hi,

I am from India working in Germany. My company is going to apply for a L1B for me. Since it is valid for 5 years, it is hard to get GC under EB2 category. My manager is suggested to apply under EB1A category since I have a PhD degree from Europe with good publications and patents which shows my expertise in the particular field.

What would be chances of getting GC EB1A category if my company apply for it?

One more question: My position will be Senior....Engineer. Is it Ok for Eb1A or EB1B? or Should it be speciafically researcher or spmething like this?

Yes for L1B it is okay. But for L1A you need to be a manager/executive.

I meant for EB1A or EB1B. With the above mentioned position, can they apply under EB1A or EB1B?
Or do we need a position like Researcher or so?

EB1A is for Extraordinary ability
EB1B is for Outstanding professor or researcher

Engineer is good for both the visas.
