L2 visa for Wife and Attaending training

Hello Guys,
My question is bit lengthy.

This month I got my L1 approved for 3years and right now I am in US. I am working here for 6 months as short term international assignment. I will be in Payroll of my home company and will get per diem to match US salary. I am staying at hotel.

My wife works in different company and she has to attend training in other location in US than where I am staying( its training from her customer) . I want her to stay with me for 2 months after her training.
Can I now apply for her L2 dependent visa and she attends the training for 2 weeks and she stays with me in hotel for 2 months. Is it possible and Legal?
P.S: She will not resign from her job during this visit

Please guide me regarding this.

What visa is she having right now?

She cannot work & get paid being on her B1/B2 visa. Neither can she work & get paid on L2 alone (needs EAD).
Neither it is suggested for her to stay in USA for longer duration on the business visa.

Please provide more details.
