  • L1 Visa Approved - But not travelling

    Hello,

I got my L1A Visa Stamped, including my family (Wife & kids). But unfortunately my sponsoring company seems to be not doing well..lost a big contract thus i am skeptical should i even pursue further or not. So if i move to a new organization in India what should i do with regard to my L1? Should i cancel it or leave it as it is? Because my new company may (after a year) process for a L1 or perhaps a H1B? My current L1 Stamping, would it be a spoilsport? Also, can i cancel my L1 Stamping, Is there a process? Please adv

Once stamped, you cannot "unstamp" it. Why would having a valid visa in passport be a spoilsport for any future visas? You are unnecessarily worried about it, the next time you got for a different visa from a different company they may cancel this visa, or even leave it as it is. No need to worry.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Its other way round. Lots of people are dying to get a visa & than go there. You got your visa stamped & not travelling is a plus sign - that you really aren't dying to move to USA. Its rather shows a good intention.

For all your further organizations/visas, you'll be already half-pass to get the new visa.
