Hi,
I had stayed and worked in US on L1-B Blanket Visa from April 2013 through May 2014. I am in India now as I write this post.
The visa stamped on passport shows expiry on 5th March 2016.
The PED date on the stamped visa also mentions 5th March 2016.
The I-129S (Nonimmigrant Petition) has s stamp that says valid until three years from "6th March 2013".
The confusing part is I-797 (notice of action) says "Petition Valid Indefinitely"
Now if I were to travel back to US again for the same specialization, can I just request for a Consulate interview date to get a new L1-B visa stamped on my passport based on I-797 (i.e. Indefinite validity)? Or do I need to apply for a fresh L1-B petition all over again? Or do I need to get a new approved I-129S but not I-797?
Kindly advise.
Thanks in advance,
S Ray
