Filing L1B extension just couple of days before the expiry date

Does it increase the chance of rejection of L1B extension? if we file L1B extension just couple of days before expiry date mentioned in I-94. Because I thinks that the event of filing extension just before expiry date indicates that A person deliberately wants to extend his stay period in USA. Does it make any impact on L1B extension approval?

Though that is one of the reason many employers wait till the last moment to file a EOS to USCIS , I dont think there has been a conscious effort to reject merely on this fact.
