From L1B to L1A in the same company

Can I apply in the US to a manager position in the same company and automatically I will change to L1A ?

Is it for same employer where you working as L1B?

Merely applying for a Manager position does not automatically change your status from L1B to L1A. The employer has to file for a change request to USCIS.
