  • L2 Visa - EAD Application

    Hello All,

    I moved to USA on a L1A with my wife who is on a L2. Below is a timeline of the application for her EAD. Please advise..

    1. March 9th 2016 - USCIS Vermont received the case and status was changed online accordingly. Please note the documents that were sent along with the application and check included:

    * Copy of her I-94
    * Copy of her visa stamp with L2
    * Copy of my visa stamp with L1
    * Copy of marriage certificate
    * Passport size photo of her

    2. June 8th 2016 - it was over 90 days so i put it in a service request.
    3. June 9th 2016 - Status changed to "Request for Additional Evidence Mailed"

    Can you please guide me on the below information:
    * Based on your experience what do you think the request for the additional evidence will be?
    * How long post i resubmit the required evidence will it take for the EAD?
    * Is there a biometric required for the EAD? If so i am based in ATL and does USCIS have a center here?
    * Can she apply for a SSN prior to receiving a EAD card?

    Appreciate the help in advance..

    Regards..

      You need not hijack a thread for this.

      You need to be in US to apply for EAD.

      This is my opinion not legal advice.
