I am expected to travel to US on L1 A blanket due to dates not being available for L2 interview, I would like to apply for my daughter under student or visitor visa and then later on once we are in US apply for adjustment to L2. Is it possible to do adjustment from Student Visa to L2 ? Would giving the reason that Visa appointment slots were not available hence we had to travel on student visa and then convert to L2 ?
Similarly is it also possible to travel on Business Visa and then convert to L2 - citing reason as non-availability of Visa interview slots?
for conversion from Student Visa / Business Visa to L2 what documents are required from the sponsoring company and how many days does the procedure take ? is it required to return to india for the conversion or the same can be done while continuing to stay in the US?
