  • Payment from employer when someone is on L1B

    Hi Guys,

Is it madatory for a foreign employer in USA to pay their internal transferred employee from India to pay in USD? Some companies are still paying the salary in INR when the employee is in U.S.
However they are paying them the per day allowance (But again in INR). Please explain me the legal possibilities of payment when the employee is on L1B in U.S

I don't think there are clear rules in terms of how much to pay an L1 visa holder . I also don't think that the L1 salaries are governed by DOL because there is no LcA filing for l1.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
