Min staying required before applying Green Card L2

Hi

I am working with a multinational company and my company has offered me a position in US on L1 and my family on L2.its agreed that employer shall file green card application after 1 year.

If we accept me and my wife will move in Jan 2017 , our son will enter in USA with us and return to UK for further studies for 6 months. Then he want to get a year of work experience in India. He will keep on vision s 2-3 times in 16/17. He will be in US while we apply for green card for that duration. He plan to return to US by Sep2017. We hope green card can take around 1 year.

My question is is their any specific requirements that my depends should spend minimum so many days before green card is applied or any restrictions how many days they can be out of US while on L2 visa before green card application

L1A or L1 B? What's your country of birth and which category is the employer going to file GC under, Eb1/2/3?
