Lost Indian Passport with Valid L2 visa

My husband and I lost all our documents in an Apartment fire on 17th July. We applied for a new passport and would like to know the process for applying a replacement Visa. I am on L2 Visa Valid till Jan 2019 and my husband has blanket L1. Can I apply for a new visa at USCIS here in the US or should I wait for my husband to travel back to India and get his visa? Sorry for the tragedy. Unfortunately you will not be able to get the visa in US.
You will have to travel outside US, and attend a visa interview in order to get a new visa.
