L1-b (Blanket) - 221(g) issued - Administrative processing

Hello everyone,
I had my L1b blanket visa interview on 2nd Sep 2016 in Chennai consulate. After the VO was done with the questions, he provided me with a 221(g) form highlighting the point that my case would require further administrative processing before a final decision can me made. He took my passport and the other documents like I-797, I-129S, DS-160. And also told that they may get in touch with me if anything is required from my side. I'm confused what this means. Anybody here who faced a similar issue and were approved? What is the probability of getting approved in this case? What is the expected time of their response?

Hello Suptoshree- They need some more background verification, I guess. They neither rejected nor approved it. My concern is how much time will they take to respond. Anyone in the forum has any idea?
