  • How do I get the L1 visa in my passport (after adjustment of status)?

    Hi Guys,

My adjustment of status for L1B was approved last year. The I-797A approval notice states that I am now able to work in the US and there is a new I-94 attached. As I now need to travel outside the US for work, I was wondering what the process is to get the visa stamp into my passport. Do I have to go to the US embassy in my home country and bring the approval notice to get the visa? Do I need to get in contact with the National Visa Center?

Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from USCIS after I received my approval notice so I hope to find some answers on here!

    Thank you!

Yes you would typically go to your home country to get the L1 visa stamp in the passport.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
