L2 EAD renewal based on L1/L2 holder's valid I-94

Hi,

I have the below situation regarding my wife's L2 EAD renewal and I am trying to find out the best way forward.

Details:
Blanket L1B Visa
L1 Visa end date - 01/2017
L1 Holder valid I-94 - 07/2019

L2 EAD expiry date - 01/2017
L2 Holder valid I-94 - 07/2019

My L1 Visa is due to exprie in 01/2017 and since I have a valid I-94 till 2019 my company is not going to file extension.

My wife's L2 EAD expires in 01/2017 along with my Visa expiry.

Can I file for my wife's L2 EAD renewal beyond 01/2017 based on the valid I-94?
Would USCIS require proof of my L1 visa extension to approve the EAD renewal application?

My L1 I797 is blanket and is valid indefinitely. My I129S expires in Jan 2017.

Yes you can apply EAD renewal based on extended I94. I have done that in 2014

Did you extend your I129 and got a new I797 with an extended I-94 and then apply for EAD renewal ?
