  • L1 B individual interview location

    Hi All,

I recently got my I-797 approval from USCIS for my L1 B individual visa.
On the form it is written as belows:
    Consulate Notified : "Chennai"

But as we know L1 B Individual visa is issued from all US consulate across India.
Since i am based out of Hyderabad, should i apply in hyderabad
or since consulate notified is Chennai, i should apply in Chennai itself?

    Thanks.

You can apply from any consulate.

        Hi,

I am in the same situation. The i797 says Consulate as Chennai but I am based out of Hyderabad. Can I take my interview in Hyd instead? Is there something we need to do - like notify USCIS or something like that? Or I can just go and book my interview date with Hyd as the consulate? Please can someone help me with this?

        Thanks!

As mentioned in this thread earlier, go ahead & book your appointment at HYD. You should be fine, no notifications needed.
