Hello all ,
I have an Indian passport. My current organization is starting my L1 visa process.They are targeting to have me start working from US by Jan 2017.
Now , the situation is , my current passport is expiring in Aug 2017. Shall I go with all the visa processing and stamping on my current passport and once I have that I shall go for passport renewal before I leave to US. Apart from this, my current passport does not have my current address and my spouse name. Would this be a challenge if I go for passport renewal as my personal details (address and spouse name) would be updated on my new passport. My wife will accomapny me on dependent L2 visa.
Second important question is , if I proceed with my current passport whether the visa would be valid until Aug 2017 which is my passport current expiry date Or these are not related and the visa would be valid for 3 years or whatever initial period L1 remains valid.
