  • Need your opinion. L1B approved a week ago but passport still with the embassy...

It was exactly a week ago, I breathed deep and was heavily relieved for a first time in all these months of excruciating and tedious visa (L1B) process when the visa officer during my interview (New Delhi embassy) said that my visa had been approved and I would receive my passport back over the next four-five days. But my excitement was short-lived, I suppose now.

It's been a week/three business days since my status on CEAC (status unchanged since 10 November when I appeared for the interview) shows the generic message that my application is under necessary administrative process...and this may take 60 days...if approved I will get my passport in two business days...

Is there a reason to panic now? The VO had said 'four-five day' - does this mean four-five working days? or four-five calendar days?

It's been quite stressful situation. I am sure many of you folks can related it to yourself. I wrote this morning to support@ustraveldocs.com, but the reply was not really helpful and seemed to be very general one - they replied, "your visa application is under processing at the embassy. In you havent received intimation in more than ten calendar days, then you may contact our help desk. hence, we request you to kindly wait."

Any suggestion on what I should do (of course, other than waiting (lol), as suggested in the email by UStraveldoc) and what my situation indicates? Does it mean my visa face any chance of being rejected or severely delayed despite the VO said it was approved and did not issue any receipt (221G or something)? I have read on this forum people talking that they received their approved visas within barely a few days, but in my case it's already seven days gone. Request some opinion from experienced members.

    Cheers.

L1 approved, visas for spouse & child issued, mine under Administrative processing ??

    Hello,
I had an L1A individual petition approved and stamping appointment was on 17/11 alongwith my dependent spouse & child. Visas for spouse & child were issued the same date (17/11) but my visa status shows as under AP ??

Interview was fine and VO said visas are approved and took the passports..

While I assume it may take few more days, do they usually issue the dependent visas even before the primary applicant visa is issued ?

    Anyone with similar experience ?

Hi, Did you get an RFE before your approval? I received a notice to say an rfe was sent on Oct 31st but not yet arrived.

Received an RFE, which was replied to.. and few weeks later had received the approval notice using which we applied for the visa stamping..
Point is the dependent visas are issued but primary visa still pending..

Hopefully you get it sorted soon.
Hopefully I get the same response. Can I ask what they requested as further evidence?

Hello. To update you folks - after nine cruel days of waiting after visa interview and immediate approval, my status on CEAC started showing as 'Issued' on Friday (18 Nov) and this noon (21 Nov, Monday), it showed on Ustravelsocs.com that my passport is ready for pick up. I will visit the VAC Delhi and pick it tomorrow.

My visa was issued today.. after 2 working days of my dependents visas issued.. Surprising..

Further evidence was basically more detailed current experience letter, proposed position confirmation letter, training records ..
