L1 Visa Extension

Hi,
I am on L2-EAD and wanted to know few things:
1) My husband's visa and my EAD is till May 2017.
2) If suppose my husband's visa extension would file on may 2017 by his employer, should i start EAD extension prior to that? So that i will continue working without loosing the job or should i start My EAD extension after my Husband's visa get extended.

Please give us some suggestions.Your help will be greatly appreciated.
