  • L1B (fulltime to partime change)

    Hi All,

I am looking for an advice on the viability and the procedure for changing L1B visa from a full-time role to a part-time role within the same company. I would still be committing 60 percent of my time to the job, while for the rest of the time I would be focusing on personal life and will not be earning income from another job. I would be doing this for a period of 6 months only. Basically my pay would also be 60% of my current pay for this period. I have savings to show that I could support myself during this period.

    1. Is it mandatory to update USCIS about this temporary transition from 100% to 60% workload.
    2. Is the transition possible legally under L1B visa status.
    3. What is the procedure and steps to be followed?
    4. Amendment processing time and fees (premium and normal)

    Thanks,
    Nitin

There is no minimum wages for L2 holder, hence no need to inform anyone about reduction.

As long as you are getting salary (doesn't matter how much) from your employer, you are good to stay.
