  • L1 visa for a new company in the US

    Hi,

Background: Our company has been operational in India for more than 2.5 years, operating primarily in the financial services domain. We want to open a US office this month (January 2017).

My question is: If we set-up a US office this month, could we apply for an L1 visa for one of our Indian employees and send him/her to the US office in May 2017? How difficult would it be to get the visa successfully processed, considering that the US entity would be pretty young (4-5 months as of May 2017)?

    Thanks!
    Sri

L1 visas are one of the most scrutinized visas partly due to their misuse.

Would advise taking help of experienced attorneys for this matter.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
