I have couple of questions -
1.) Does conversion from L-1B to L-1A visa category need to be done 6 months prior to the expiry of the 5 yrs stay. My 5 yrs get maxed out on Jul 31st, 2017. My L-1B visa and i-94 both are valid until Mar'17 end.
2.) In case i have <6 months (meaning i have already stayed beyond 4.6 yrs on L-1B), would extending my current L-1B for another 4 months (until Jul 31st) be the only option or i could ask my company to still pursue conversion to L-1A?
Separately, i also wanted to know if filing GC in EB-1 category irrespective of my location (may be initially in U.S. and then in India) is a possibility? Like getting an EAD and then going for consular processing to work as a manager in the U.S. As as FYI, i am already into a managerial position and my role changed couple of months back.
